Worcester BID Christmas Lights
2012 sees Worcester BID fund lights in interior frontages to those who have responded to our letter in the following streets: New Street, Reindeer Court, Angel Place, Sidbury, College Street, Fish Street, Farrier Street and Angel Street. As part of The Crown Estate's voluntary contribution of £10,000 we have also part funded new cross street lights in Broad Street.
In 2010 we installed Christmas Lights in Foregate Street, The Foregate and The Cross on 12 lamp columns.
It is great to see the Worcester BID lead on installing good quality Christmas lights whch extend all the way down to the end of Foregate Street. It made us feel part of the city centre at a crucial time of year for us. Jonathon Smith, PSW, Foregate Street.
In 2011 the bottom of Broad Street twinkled brightly with new lights in 8 trees. Feedback from a survey of businesses in the vicinity gave them 8 out of 10.
We also arranged a bulk purchase of lights for the internal frontages of BID businesses in Friar Street. 20 businesses had a co-ordinated warm white lighting effect which was well received.
