Board of Directors

Michael Clarke

Michael is the chairman of VisitWorcester.  He lives in Worcester and also chairs the Worcestershire Partnership, the countywide local strategic partnership.  He was until recently vice principal of Birmingham University and a governor of the University of Worcester.

Jim Yates

Jim has over 20 years experience in all aspects of property fund and asset management and is currently head of the £1.5bn Regional and Residential Portfolio at The Crown Estate, which includes the Crowngate shopping centre in Worcester. Whilst he has recently been promoted to the post of Development Director, his interest in Worcester will continue as The Crown Estate look to improve and enhance the centre's performance.

Mark Richardson

Mark is Head of the University of Worcester Business School. His commercial background, prior to moving into Higher Education, was in the pub and restaurant sector. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Member of the Institute of Directors. Mark lives in Worcester.

Rev. Dr. Alvyn Pettersen

Alvyn has lived in Worcester since 2002, when he took up his present post as a Canon of Worcester Cathedral. He is also a Community Governor at Worcester College of Technology and a Board Member of Community First in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, a charity which seeks to build better local communities by advising, informing and supporting community groups and voluntary organisations.

Amanda Savidge

Amanda manages The Worcester Porcelain Museum which represents an industry and workforce that has played a key role in the development of the City of Worcester for over 250 years. She is passionate about Arts and Heritage and works in partnership with other regional organisations

Deborah Thompson

Deborah lives in Worcester and works for Boots UK as Area Manager for Worcester. Deborah is a Pharmacist and is chairman of  Worcestershire Local Pharmaceutical Committee and also chairs Crowngate tenants committee. She has recently joined the Board of Visit Worcester previously being involved in Worcester City Centre Forum. She regularly worships at Worcester Cathedral.
