The
Safer Shopping Award involves rigorous examination of a wide variety
of security measures from closed circuit TV and car park security
to communication systems and liaison with the police, in an effort
to reduce crime and the fear of crime locally.
The award presented
to the Worcester City Net Anti-Crime Group who together with the
City Centre Forum, the Police and Retailers is for recognition of
their efforts in making Worcester an even more attractive place
to shop for both local people and visitors alike
