Join Discover History as it commemorates the unique English Civil War heritage of Worcestershire. An exhibition of local heritage attractions, sites and organisations linked by the turbulent period we call the English Civil Wars: 1642- 51. The event takes place on 'Oak Apple Day' a day that was celebrated since 1660 to welcome back Britain's Monarchy after the period of Cromwell's republic. The venues iron gates are decked in the traditional way using Oak leaves.
