Olympic Torch Relay - Transport & Safety

Worcester people are being encouraged to watch the Torch from as near to their homes or places of work as possible. If you need to travel to get to the Torch route, please use public transport and allow plenty of time for your journey.

There will be no parking on the route, and roads will be closed from 6pm to 8pm. Worcestershire County Council is arranging for the Perdiswell Park & Ride service to operate into the evening, so people watching the Torch Relay or attending the Evening Celebration can use it.

Remember to make sure you stay safe while watching the Olympic Torch Relay in Worcester:

• The safety of yourself and your family is your responsibility
  
• Do not run out in front of or alongside the Torch
  
• Do not park on the Torch route
  
• Watch the Relay from the pavement which is on the passenger door side of the convoy
  
• Freebies will be given out by sponsors on the passenger door side of the convoy, so stay there to stay safe and potentially receive a gift.
