The Cross, The Hopmarket, The Foregate

Continuing north from the High Street you will reach The Cross, the city’s main banking district, but also home to jewellers A Forrest Hay and David Christopher, numerous eateries and the Slug and Lettuce, house in a former chruch . Moving further north towards the Foregate Street railway station you pass the Hopmarket. Once a commercial hotel and trading centre for the hops grown throughout Worcestershire, it is now an intimate shopping courtyard with a unique selection of independently-owned shops: Bespoke tailoring for men and women and designer menswear at Individual Tailoring, designer women’s fashion at Stripes which stocks many European labels found only in Worcester, and many others.
